Our first Ministry project
We joined up with a local young man (Miguel Ochoa Zepeda) with a vision to raise food for the poor. We prayed over 40 manzanas of land and planted corn, beans, and other food crops for three years. Our ministry: bought seed, bought fertilizers, bought tools, paid workers to clear the land and bought groceries for the project. God blessed our efforts with bountiful harvests. We gave the harvest to local missionaries with feeding programs and gave the rest to the leaders of many churches. We fed up to ten churches for three years. On the eve of the fourth year local pastors of the churches we had fed donated workers, seed and fertilizer. They are now helping Miguel raise their own food. I still see Miguel from time to time but he no longer needs our help. He is in the process of buying the land, God is good.
